The Rottman Group has been retained by Behavioral Health Group (BHG) to find a Regional Director of Operations. This is a newly created position based on company growth. This person will initially be responsible for the oversight of practice locations in the Washington DC, and Northern Virginia area and will expand with the addition of other sites of service in the region. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing organization providing a valuable service in a growing industry sector.

Behavioral Health Group (www.bhgrecovery.com) is leading provider of opioid addiction treatment services. Their treatment centers provide medication-assisted treatment in an outpatient setting. Corporately based in Dallas, TX, BHG currently has 55 locations in 13 states and are continuing to grow.

BHG was just purchased this past year by Vistria (www.vistria.com), a well-respected private investment firm. This was very positive and has provided growth capital to continue proactive development of the company. That development will be a combination of acquisitions as well as de novo (new site) development with their goals, the company plans to double in size over the next four years.
BHG has had quality, stable leadership that has been very successful in the growth and development of the company.
Role:

As with others, this region has both OTP (opioid treatment program) and OBOT (office-based opioid treatment) programs. There are program directors in each outpatient treatment center (OTP) that will report to this person. Via de novo development, they have added one OBOT location, consisting of two addictionologist physicians. There are plans to add several more of both types of facilities.
This region has an opportunity to be very high performing with the right leader. These sites are relatively new acquisitions and have both operational development opportunities. This person needs to be a an engaged leader and able to be a link to corporate resources for the program directors.
The company is a very supportive one. They’ve been successful by focusing time and resources on quality clinical outcomes vs. splash marketing. They are financially solid and have a plan and the resources for continued growth.
We are looking for a self-starter, a situational leader, and someone that can work effectively with little oversight. You’ll find a supportive executive team and corporate culture. This person needs to have experience leading a multi-site healthcare services.
This person could be in a home based office or have an office in one of the locations. There will be reimbursed travel within the region.
