The Rottman Group has been retained by Boulder Valley Anesthesiology to
find an Executive Director. Reporting to the physician executive committee,
this person will lead the overall strategy and operations of this 25 physician
practice located in the quality of life paradise of Boulder, Colorado.

Boulder Valley Anesthesiology is a well-established group of 25 physicians.
Most of their current work is done at Boulder Community Hospital and two ambulatory surgery centers. This is an outstanding group of physicians who get along well together.
The Role:
The Executive Director role is a newly created position. They have a practiceadministrator who has grown with the practice in the last several years andis a great asset. The physician Executive Committee, has taken on differentresponsibilities. The creation of the Executive Director role, in part is to takeover much of these responsibilities along with external growth and development of the practice.

Aside from leadership of the day-to-day operations and their current service
providing contracts, BVA see opportunities to diversify and grow their practice and
its operations.

The Executive Director will:

Have the ability to listen to and create a cohesive strategic plan for the group’s future

Evaluate and secure new contracts to provide anesthesia services

Consider and evaluate new program/service offerings

Evaluate external investments and strategic opportunities.

Execute and implement plans.

Assess and mediate any physician relationship dynamics within the group as they arise

Develop and execute a proactive physician recruitment program as part of both growth and succession planning.

Mentor and develop other members of the operations team.

Compensation:
This person will have a very competitive base salary, and all other health and retirement benefits. There is also paid relocation assistance if necessary.
