Summary:

​

The Rottman Group has been retained by Behavioral Health Group (BHG) to find a Corporate Director of Project Management Office (PMO).  This is a newly created role for a growing company with a very positive culture providing a valuable service in the opioid addiction treatment industry.    This person will be the key individual responsible for the coordination of cross functional teams for smooth and effective pre and post-acquisition as well as de novo developments.

Behavioral Health Group (www.bhgrecovery.com) is leading provider of opioid addiction treatment services.  Their treatment centers provide medication-assisted treatment in an outpatient setting.  Corporately based in Dallas, TX,  BHG currently has 55 locations in 13 states and are continuing to grow.

​

BHG was recapitalized this past year by Vistria (www.vistria.com), a well-respected private investment firm.  This was very positive and has provided growth capital to continue proactive development of the company.  That development will be a combination of acquisitions as well as de novo (new site) development with their goals, the company plans to double in size over the next four years. 

BHG has had quality, stable leadership that has been very successful in the growth and development of the company. 

 

Job Summary

 

The Director of Project Management Office (PMO) is to define the project management process, standards, deliverables, establishing and maintaining cross functional organizational alignment, defining operational cadence necessary to ensure consistent project execution through prioritization, resourcing, budgeting and execution of projects. This position has primary responsibility to work as part of a team recommending, organizing, planning and managing projects and/or programs to effectively integrate business operations, focus on planning for and executing on integration strategies for ensuring a smooth transition of newly acquired operations. The Director of PMO will develop work processes, measurement and monitoring tools to guide post-acquisition efforts for determining success of the integration process.

 

Primary Responsibilities

​

  • Work with the business development team to identify end-to-end integration needs for new acquisitions

  • Plan, coordinate and execute integration strategies for newly acquired entities

  • Work with and organize a team of cross functional resources to efficiently and effectively integrate acquisitions into BHG’s operations

  • Prepare communications and documents to deliver process and structure to new acquisitions

  • Assign and track integration tasks and performance to plan

  • Develop, track and report on business KPIs

  • Review and track pipeline of new acquisitions

  • Ensure all new acquisitions are fully integrated

  • Push integration initiatives to track against project timelines

  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management

  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project

  • Monitor overall project milestones and the execution of the project against established timelines, communicates dependencies across programs, and provides accurate & timely program/project status to Integration Leads and related stakeholders

  • Translate M&A objectives into integration goals, plans and actions

  • Drive integration related programs, accelerate integration decision-making, report team progress and escalate issues for quick resolution

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive and track integration projects and activities, monitor and correct any schedule compliance issues, manage critical path, risks and track dependencies, improve the process through post-project assessments

  • Work with business leaders to locate space, negotiate lease or purchase terms and drive project completion with design and construction staff

  • Identify, analyze, recommend alternatives that align with business and real estate portfolio strategies

  • Leverage internal and external counsel in lease and purchase/sale contracts in accordance with company standards

  • Manage relationships with all respective internal and external real estate partners (including, but not limited to, brokers, consultants, internal/outside counsel, landlords and other relevant capabilities)

 

Ideal Background:

The ideal candidate will embody the following characteristics and possess the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:

​

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Experience in the operational integration of mergers & acquisitions is strongly preferred

  • Exceptional project management skills, the ability to track and manage complex projects, and a desire to lead multiple teams and multiple projects

  • High level of maturity and diplomacy and ability to see and rationalize multiple points of view

  • Attention to detail, process driven and highly organized

  • Positive attitude and team player with the ability to self-motivate

  • High level of integrity and strict adherence to protecting confidential information

  • Good organizational and planning skills, with a proven ability to manage time well in a fast-paced, ever-changing, team-oriented environment

  • Familiarity with site plans, architectural and engineering drawings, construction administration/management, RFP process, project planning and project tracking/reporting concepts

  • Background in construction, design, procurement practices, delivery methods, and contract negotiation

  • On site trade contractor management experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Commercial Term Lending or Commercial Real Estate preferred

  • Ideal candidate will have experience in real estate project delivery for corporate, investment or healthcare clients

  • Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with project management and real estate management software preferred
