We’ve been retained by Longhorn Health Solutions, www.longhornhealth.com, to find a Corporate Director of Information Technology, a newly created role. This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a leadership team exponentially growing an established and successful company.

Longhorn Health Solutions, based in Austin, was founded in 2005. Initially they provided a broad range of patient medical supply management and delivery.
In 2015, under the leadership of CEO, James Whittenburg, Longhorn made a strategic shift in their business strategy that’s proven very successful. They are the first ones, under a capitated compensation model to take a value-based patientcare approach in incontinence care. Based on this progressive strategy, Longhorn Health Solutions has multiple capitated contracts to manage the incontinence needs for 30,000 patients in Texas. The Longhorn model provides better patient care at a reduced cost.
In 2020, RiverGlade Capital (www.rivergladecapital.com) made a strategic investment in Longhorn Health Solutions. Building on the foundational business model, RiverGlade is investing in building a more sophisticated infrastructure to aggressively scale the company. The technology component is an integral part of this.

Longhorn Health is headquartered in Austin, TX. For several strategic reasons, as they grow, they’ll be establishing a predominant second location with a call center in San Antonio. They anticipate and are planning to double in size over the next 2-3 years.
Role:
Reporting to LC Wadel, Vice President of Operations, the Director of Information Technology will have ownership of application management, infrastructure, and security to help scale the business effectively; all things from a technology perspective.
The company has just migrated from Quickbooks to Sage Intacct for their financial systems. They us ADP for human resources, Tableau for business intelligence, Brightree for CRM, and an internally developed program, Datavail that is used for verification of patient eligibility. They also use Microsoft 365 and Azure with everything possible being cloud based, including Vonage for their telecommunication systems.
Reporting to this person will be a helpdesk person, a part-time software engineer, and a data analyst.
